Some words are bigger than language. Salam — spoken across the Arab world, across Muslim communities on every continent, woven into greetings and goodbyes and everything in between — is one of them. It doesn't belong to a single country or a single tradition. It belongs to the idea that peace is worth saying out loud, every single day. That's where this design begins.
The visual language draws from Islamic geometric art — one of the most mathematically sophisticated and spiritually loaded design traditions in human history. The four medallion forms reference the intricate tilework, manuscript illuminations, and architectural detail found from Andalusia to Central Asia. Here they're distressed, fractured, raw — not to diminish them, but to make them feel alive in the present tense. Art that has always moved should keep moving.
The gold script at the centre isn't decorative. It's the point. Bold, unapologetic, centred — the way the word itself tends to arrive when it's spoken with meaning. Surrounded by colour and geometry that carries centuries of intention, the word Salam holds its own.
At MOEBEER, we don't put art on clothes for the sake of it. We look for designs that carry weight — culturally, visually, personally. The Salam Sweatshirt is for the person who wants their wardrobe to reflect the things they actually believe in. Wear peace. Mean it.
